PDFs

PDFs stored on Retro CDN no longer have thumbnails on Sonic Retro. (example)

SVG thumbnails are similarly broken. (example)

Sega Retro

Extension:Cargo

The cargo_query command can't cope with strings that contain quotes (see sega:Template_talk:Creditstable#double_quotes for discussion).

Extension:PdfHandler

Pages with large numbers of PDF thumbnails take a long time to load, or fail to load entirely.

Realistically, this won't be fixed until one of three things happen:

• ImageMagick gets a rewrite that can take advantage of GPU processing
• Retro upgrades its server memory
• Retro upgrades the number of cores on the CPU

Bullet points are broken. The following text:

Extension:TimedMediaHandler

Some videos are not playable/transcoded because of an error. (example)

Editing

The menu bar (bold, italics, etc.) is missing when editing a page.

Uploads

Pre-upload image previews on the upload form are missing.

Thumbnails

Some images don't display thumbnails, although the thumbnails exist and can be viewed via their full url. (example)

Skin

The "SegaRetro" skin is broken. (example)

NEC Retro

CSS

The style sheets were never fully ironed out for NEC Retro - galleries have black backgrounds, and some line breaks are being ignored (example). The latter might be a template issue but it also highlights differing font sizes.

Special:RecentChanges is always empty.

Templates

Many templates are missing, though they still appear in the template category. (example)

Not just templates actually, some fraction of regular pages are missing. (example 1, example 2)

Retro CDN

Extension:GlobalUsage

Files still appear on Special:UnusedFiles, despite being used on other wikis.

There is now a Special:GloballyUnusedFiles page, which is more useful but it still includes files used on Retro CDN. There should be a "Special:ReallyUnusedFiles". - Hivebrain (talk) 14:21, 22 November 2019 (EST)

Files that are used by Sega Retro have a second duplicate usage list. (example)

File usage lists are unlinked. (example)

There's no way to fix this from within the wiki, but I think file lists are generated by includes/GlobalUsageImagePageHooks.php. - Hivebrain (talk) 16:03, 21 July 2020 (EDT)

OGG, FLAC and WAV files are not playable/transcoded. (File:WorkyworkyOGG.ogg, File:WorkyworkyFLAC.flac, File:WorkyworkyWAV.wav)

UploadWizard doesn't work with APK files, probably because they're just renamed ZIP files.

All or multiple wikis

Categories

Files aren't added to categories unless edited/poked. As such, files uploaded via UploadLocal have the appearance of being uncategorised.

Cross-wiki transclusion no longer works in most cases. Transcluding from Sonic Retro always works (i.e. {{raw:sonic:MD}}).

Moving APKs

APK files can't be moved, presumably because they're just ZIP files with a renamed extension.

The page could not be moved, for the following reason:

The new file extension does not match its type.
