Registration with the Retro wikis is mandatory to be able to edit pages.
Registration is mandatory
In order to contribute to a wiki, everyone must register. This is to limit the number of harmful or unhelpful edits to articles. This should not deter anyone from contributing, however.
There are two main reasons why registration is encouraged:
- An account gives editing privileges and allows a user to set preferences. One handy feature is the watchlist, which makes it easier for a user to track changes to pages they are interested in. Another is the ability to move or rename a page. (Pages should not be moved simply through copying and pasting as page edit history is not preserved that way.)
- Only registered users are allowed to become administrators (or sysops).
How to register
To register, or to see more detailed information regarding the benefits, click Log in at the top right corner of any page.
